It's Winter, and Yes, We have Apples!

It happens every year... people think we're closed for the winter. "How can you be open, there's no apples, right?" In fact, we ARE open (every day) and we have LOTS of apples! Apples are a winter storage crop, which means if you pick apples at their proper maturity (so not under or over ripe), and store them correctly (33 degrees at very high humidity), they will keep all winter (and right into the spring and summer too!) So please, don't think you need to eat supermarket apples at any time during the year! We are here to keep you in apples always!

I think a lot of people forget that apples are one of the best storage crops. It's great to see local orchards reminding customers that properly stored apples can stay fresh for months without losing their quality. Supporting growers year-round makes much more sense than relying entirely on supermarket produce. Speaking of things that last longer than people expect, Slope Rider is a snow-themed browser game that keeps players coming back with its fast downhill runs and constantly changing challenges.
