Next Scheduled Dinners: March 13, 2020 - postponed! In light of current unknowns with COVID-19, and government directives re "social distancing," we are deferring the March dinner. (We are very sad as we all were looking forward to scallops!)
We will be in touch with all who had reservations but wanted to post here as well.
Stay safe and sane everyone ... these are stressful times indeed

Where: At Soons Orchards’ store, and the Tasting Room at Orchard Hill Cider Mill, just next door. We transform our store into a “learning dining room”.
What to Expect:
Four delicious courses prepared by Shawn Hubbell and his team. CIA-trained and world-traveled, but the most down-to-earth guy we know, Shawn is our local food expert and a great teacher as well. Shawn demonstrates each course, taking questions as he goes - making this event uniquely interactive. You'll learn tips and tricks for choosing ingredients, preparing them, and also where to find those delicious ingredients as well. Find some videos from the dinner at our Facebook page, like this one from the August 2019 dinner
Art Soons gives a farm update as well, with behind the scenes news - the good, the bad and sometimes the ugly. He's a great storyteller and loves to field (no pun intended!) questions too!
We have large long tables, so couples typically sit next to or across from each other. It's a wonderful chance to meet like-minded food and farm fans, so don't be surprised if you meet some new people.
(If you and friends sign up separately, just ask to be seated together when you sign up.)
The Menu: The menu is unique each month, using the freshest ingredients - homegrown and local whenever possible! For previous menus, see below. There is typically meat or fish as part of the main course; a vegetarian option is always available and we can accommodate most food allergies/restrictions – just let us know when you sign up. We announce the menu about a week before the event, and email it to all attendees. ***If you wait to sign up until the menu is out, please note that the event might be sold out.
Beverages: We provide sweet cider and other soft drinks. Our Tasting Room has an excellent selection of NYS wine, spirits and our hard cider to pair with dinner. There are usually several local/regional beers as well. The appetizer course begins at the Tasting Room any time after 6 and you can taste and purchase beverages at that time. We can recommend selections from our ciders, NYS wines (or beers too!) to pair with your dinner. Your reservation includes a sampling of our hand crafted Orchard Hill hard cider. (Please remember that state liquor laws for farm wineries /cideriess like ours strictly forbid any outside alcohol.)
How to Reserve: All seats must be pre-paid via our online reservation form. This helps us start the dinner on time and ensures all seats are filled fairly. (Note: while we use a PayPal gateway for payments, you can use whatever credit card you like. Note that signing up on a cell phone can be glitchy, we are working on it!) If you absolutely can not sign up online, you may sign up in person in our store. (Please note, this event is not appropriate for children under 16.)
Have a gift certificate? Contact Sharon directly to reserve.
How much?: $60 per person (not including gratuities)
Cancellations: Must be made at least 24 hours in advance by phone with Sharon Soons in order to be considered for refund or credit, which will be considered on a case by case basis. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice can not be refunded or credited.
What to wear: It’s a nice night out, so why not dress nice? :)
Please note: While we do run our furnaces flat out for winter dinners, the room tends to be on the cool side, so dress accordingly.
