Join the Soons Crew!
Are you a rock star?
Do you love to work hard, problem-solve, make people smile, and have fun all at the same time?
Do you appreciate great customer service and a stunning store display?
Do you think, “I can do that! I can do that even better!”
If the answer is yes, then we want YOU!
At Soons Orchards, our crew brings connects our great products to our great customers.
We also spread the word outside of work about the delicious things you can find at Soons.
In the fall our crew also help day-trippers from all over the tri-state area have a fun day or apple picking, pumpkin picking, wagon riding and more.
We also consider ourselves educators – many people have no idea how produce is grown or how to best use or store their apples. It’s our job to do all these things….if you’d rather fold sweaters all day or play video games and not talk to strangers, then this job is NOT for you!
We are a seasonal business, so hours are concentrated in the late summer-fall.
Our best workers can get hours nearly all year-round though, since we are only closed June and the start of July.
We start seeking new crew in the summer, so we can have you trained and ready to rock when we re-open in July.
If you want the inside scoop, there’s a good chance you know someone in your high school that already works here.
Ask around, you’ll find out how challenging and rewarding it is to be part of the Soons crew!
Minimums for Students:
You must be 14 by the time training starts.
You must have working papers (issued by your school to 14 to 17-year-olds) by the time training starts.
You must have parents/guardians who support your decision to seek employment here.
You must commit to working all fall weekends (Sept & October)
Minimums for All:
You must be able to lift at least 40lbs comfortably and be on your feet for 4 to 8 hours.
You must be willing to get your hands dirty.
You are ok with a chilly store in the winter months (it’s all about the apples, and they don’t like it too warm!)
To apply: fill out an application (Click here for pdf file for print/download).
FYI: We will review applications and then schedule interviews, followed by a group orientation (for you and a parent/guardian) for those we think would be a good fit with our current crew. After invitations for a position are extended, then it’s on to training.
If you’re read all this, reviewed the application, and still have questions, stop by or send us an e-mail.
We look forward to meeting you!
