Part time help wanted for Soons Orchards retail store ~ students to "seniors" welcome!

When: Start in mid-July for our 2012-13 season, which runs from mid-July to May 31.

Who: High school students for after-school and weekends; college students and others for weekdays and some weekends. (Note: Students minimum age is 14; you will need “working papers” available through your school and there are various Dept of Labor restrictions on how much work and the kind of work you can do)

What: Bring us your smarts and enthusiasm and we'll teach you sales, marketing and merchandising. No greasy fries or frilly fashions here -- just amazing apples, homegrown produce, and delicious baked goods and other treats (did we mention the employee discount?)

What Else: You must be willing to get your hands dirty! Weekends are required for high school students, especially September and October. Other than that, we are flexible on schedules and hours. If you've got talent, want to learn, and aren't afraid of a little hard work, we want you to join our talented team of students.

Please note, we are a seasonal business: hours are heavy in the busy (August/Sept/Oct) season, and reduced in the off season (winter/spring), and none in June-start of July while we are closed.

Requirements:

• Reliable, responsible, self-directed.
• Positive attitude & outgoing.
• Able to lift 25 to 45 pounds comfortably. Willing to get hands dirty and be on feet for a minimum of four hours.
• Don't mind a chilly store in the winter months.
• Students should be available all September and October weekends

Interest/experience in retail and customer service a plus.
